Dr. Robert M. Frederickson graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Chemistry in 1976 and performed post graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1977- 1982. After beginning a career in engineering, he returned to school at the University of Alabama where he obtained his medical degree. He specializes in hypertension and hyperlipidemia and was one of the founding physicians of Internal Medicine Specialists, P.C. in 2001. Dr. Frederickson is commissioned by pharmaceutical companies as a professional speaker, and he has served as the Chief of Staff for Brookwood Medical Center from 2003-2004. He served as Chairman of the Board of Governors for Brookwood Medical Center from 2019-2020. He is married and the father of two children. He enjoys water sports, snow skiing, and jeep safaris during his leisure time.
